
Creating Topsheet Account
How to create a Topsheet account for film, commercial, and Television Payroll. Cast & Crews, Production, and background.

First, navigate to https://app.topsheet.io/
Welcome to Topsheet!
Click on "PROJECTS" to get started!

Eventually, this page is where you will go to see all Active, Upcoming, and Completed projects.
For now, to create a new project with Topsheet, click "CREATE NEW PAYROLL PROJECT"

Tip! Go slow through this part. It will save you much time and headache later!
Click the "Type the project name" field and type in the name of your project.

Fill out the Project Contact's full name and cell phone number.
In many cases, this will be whoever creates the project, however, feel free to put whoever Topsheet should contact in case of any issues or emergencies.

Please tell us your Project Type!

Please tell us every Union that will be involved with the project. We can service them all, so go crazy.

Tell us what position you are filling on the project!

Please enter your TOTAL budget here.

Please enter your estimated PAYROLL budget here.

Don't forget to let us know if MINORS will be working on your project by checking this box.
You will be required to upload documents to support this later in the process.

Click "NEXT"
Click this checkbox to edit "Pre-Production Days"

Please enter "START Prep Date" and "END Prep Date"
Enter full address (preferred) or city only if that's all the information available.
(You will be following this format for the Shoot dates and Post production dates)

Click this checkbox to edit "Shoot Days" and repeat the same process mentioned earlier.

Don't forget you can add multiple addresses by clicking "Add Another Location". This is critical so these addresses show up as options on timecards later.

Click the checkbox to edit "Post-Production Days" and repeat the same process as Pre-production and Shoot days.
After all of your project dates are filled out, click "NEXT"
Click here to create a new company, or select a previous company that you have created in the Topsheet App.
Then fill out your company's address, if you choose a previous company, it should already be filled out for you.

In some cases, we use banking information in this section to input into our invoicing system as well as to return any left over funds to you after the project is wrapped.
Fill out all relevant information including Bank Address, Routing Number and Account number, and the Company Name on the Account.

Please enter your company's EIN and State Tax ID number here. In some cases, this is the same as the EIN, but be sure to double check.

Click "NEXT" to proceed to the next section.
Please read through our Payroll Service Agreement and then click the checkbox when ready and then click here to place your digital signature.

Click "CREATE PAYROLL PROJECT"
Note our contact information there to the right!

This next screen is to take you to start filling out more forms and submitting your supporting documents. Click "START SUBMITTING NOW" if you are ready.
They are required to proceed with payroll, although, you can come back to these later.

Now, you will see your new project as either Active, or upcoming!
